Elluminate Partners with Sloan Consortium to Support Online Education Research
Project Results to be Presented at 2010 Sloan-C International Symposium for Emerging Technology Applications for Online Education

- Elluminate, Inc., the leading provider of live eLearning and web collaboration that transforms learning on a global level, announced today that as part of its ongoing relationship with the Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C), the company has awarded 9 individuals with free, 50-person Elluminate vClass™ virtual classrooms for use in online education research projects.
- The recipients will undertake a wide variety of projects using Elluminate vClass during the next 11 months, including online focus groups, inter-institution workshops, interactive math activities, art appreciation, information literacy, and faculty professional development. Researchers will report project results at the Sloan-C International Symposium for Emerging Technology Applications for Online Education in 2010.

The Sloan Consortium thanks Elluminate for its generous support of registrations at our 2010 International Symposium on Emerging Technology Applications for Online Learning, which is designed to bring together those interested in the technological aspects of online learning. Nine research grants were awarded in 2009, enabling recipients to commence work in order to present in 2010 at the Symposium. The outcomes of these research projects will significantly augment the research program at the conference by providing new knowledge about the use of synchronous interactions in online education.
