Elluminate Live! ® Translation Project

In early 2005, Elluminate started an open initiative with our user group, the Elluminati, to create localized versions of the Elluminate Live! interface. The following languages are available:

Arabic for Elluminate Live! Versions 8.5, 9.0/9.1, 9.5 and higher.
Chinese (Simplified) for Elluminate Live! Version 8.5, 9.0/9.1, 9.5 and higher.
French for Elluminate Live! Versions 8.5, 9.0/9.1, 9.5 and higher.
German for Elluminate Live! Versions 8.5, 9.0/9.1, 9.5 and higher.
Japanese for Elluminate Live! Versions 8.5, 9.0/9.1, 9.5 and higher.
Portuguese (Brazilian) for Elluminate Live! Version 8.5, 9.0/9.1, 9.5 and higher.
Russian for Elluminate Live! Version 8.5, 9.0/9.1, 9.5 and higher.
Spanish for Elluminate Live! Versions 8.5, 9.0/9.1, 9.5 and higher.

Additional translation projects are underway and the website will be updated as they become available.

Please note that these language translations are produced on a volunteer basis and are tested and maintained by the submitting parties. Elluminate does not provide quality assurance and does not warrant the operation of these interface translations.

Instructions

If you are an ASP customer, see our instructions on how to configure language support in your sessions using the SAS (Session Administration System).
If you are an Elluminate Live! Manager administrator, click on the links below to download and install language packs on your server:
Note: you may install any number of packs, but be aware that each one will result in an additional initial download to your users, whether they use the language or not.

Using a Localized Interface of Elluminate Live!

Once a language pack has been added into an Elluminate Live! server installation, or an ASP session has been configured with the international version, access to the new translated interface is controlled by the region setting on your computer.

For example, to view the Spanish interface on Windows XP, you will need to change your language options to Spanish using the following steps:

Open your Control Panel.
Select Regional and Language Options in your Control Panel.
Select Spanish from the drop-down list.

You are now ready to launch into the Elluminate Live! session. If your session has language localization enabled, menus and dialog boxes will be in Spanish.

Other operating systems will have similar ways to change language settings. See your operating system's user manual for more information on its language settings.
