Elluminate Live!™ Sessions and Windows XP Service Pack 2
Windows XP Service Pack 2 includes a new Windows Firewall. As a result, users of Elluminate Live!™ may experience new security prompts when trying to launch a live session. One such prompt occurs the first time a session launches after the installation of SP-2. The user may be prompted with a Windows Security Alert indicating that the firewall has “blocked some of the features of this program” and asking “Do you wish to keep blocking this program?” The program indicated is ‘javaw’. It is recommended that the user select "Unblock”. This will add an exception to the Windows Firewall Programs and Services list allowing the user to run future sessions without seeing a repeat of the security message. An excellent article on manually configuring the Windows Firewall in Windows XP Service Pack 2 can be found in Microsoft’s TechNet.
