Recording Tips for Moderators
When recording an Elluminate
Live! session, it is important
to note that the recorder sits as a silent participant in the main
room of the session. This means that the recording will capture
a participant's point of view as opposed to the moderator's point
of view of an Elluminate
Live! session. Here are a few more
tips when using the recording feature:
- Only the public text messages will be included in the recording.
Remember that during the live session you can save all of the
text messages (public and private) as a .txt file for future
review and follow-up.
- Participants will be able to save and print the whiteboard slides
during the live session and the recording. If you do not want
participants to save/print the slides from the recording, be
sure to select Protect Whiteboard from the Whiteboard option
under the Tools menu during the live session.
- During the live session, while Follow Moderator is selected
participants will only see the screens that you navigate to.
While viewing the recording, by pressing the Stop button the
participants will have the whiteboard navigation arrows available
to them and will be able to view all of the slides that you
loaded into the whiteboard.
- During the live session, when you reveal the polling responses by
selecting "Show or hide poll results from other participants"
button available from the main toolbar, they will also be
revealed in the recording.
