Using Audio in Elluminate Live!

Elluminate Live! provides a Voice Over the Internet Protocol (VOIP) feature where anyone with a standard microphone or headset can speak in a session. Not only do you realize a significant cost savings over teleconferencing, but you also communicate with other attendees in a way that creates a sense of "community" and allows for flexibility in responding and interacting to maximize impact. During your Elluminate Live! sessions, there are a few key things for you to note when using the audio feature: All attendees, moderators and participants, should test their audio prior to joining your first session. Elluminate’s Configuration Room available from http://www.elluminate.com/support/ is available 24/7. Once you join the session, select Tools → Audio → Audio Setup Wizard to tune configure your speaker and microphone settings. Remember to set the optimal volume setting for your microphone. The optimal setting is attained when you see all the green bars and a couple of yellow bars in the microphone gauge indicator. If the microphone goes all the way into the red area, your voice will sound distorted to others when you are speaking. Use the microphone slider in the Audio window to adjust the level of your microphone. If you are using simultaneous talkers in your session, be sure to review the best practices outlined in http://www.elluminate.com/support/docs/8.0/moderator.jsp in the Audio section.
